NSCDC JIGAWA COMMAND DEPLOYS 570 PERSONNEL STATEWIDE FOR DEMOCRACY DAY CELEBRATION

In line with the directive of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, and in a bid to ensure a hitch-free and peaceful celebration, the Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed a total of 570 officers and men across the 27 Local Government Areas of the State ahead of the June 12 Democracy Day.

The State Commandant, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, made this known while addressing personnel at the State Headquarters in Dutse.

He emphasized that the deployment covers both urban centres and remote communities to ensure the safety of lives and protection of critical national assets throughout the celebration period.

According to the Commandant:

“This deployment is strategic and proactive. It covers the nooks and crannies of Jigawa State with special focus on government buildings, markets, places of worship, motor parks, and all venues where public gatherings may occur during the Democracy Day celebration.”

He further stated that operatives from various departments including the Counter-Terrorism Unit, Intelligence and Surveillance Unit, Agro-Rangers Squad, Disaster Management Unit, and the Armed Squad have been mobilized to ensure operational efficiency.

The Commandant urged officers and men of the Corps to remain professional, vigilant, and law-abiding in the discharge of their duties, stressing the importance of synergy with other security agencies across the State.

While wishing residents of Jigawa State a peaceful Democracy Day celebration, Commandant Bodinga reassured the public of the Corps’ unwavering commitment to the protection of lives, property, and national assets across the State.

The NSCDC Jigawa State Command also appeals to citizens to remain security conscious and report any suspicious movement or activity to the nearest security post.
