NSCDC SOKOTO STATE COMMAND TAKES PROACTIVE MEASURES, MAKES TACTICAL DEPLOYMENT OF 1,200 PERSONNEL FOR DEMOCRACY DAY ASSURES A HITCH-FREE CELEBRATION

The State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Sokoto State Command, CC, UI Alfadarai has ordered the strategic deployment of 1,200 tactical operatives to actively participate in the 2025 Democracy Day Celebration to provide security,curb vandalism and also protect Critical Infrastructure and National Assets .

Effort would be intensified to prevent unnecessary infractions such as Outright Asymmetric Conflicts(OAC), activities of miscreants and other forms of security breach;which is in line with the directives of the Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, aimed at ensuring the security and safety of citizens in all strata of the society and also assures a safe and peaceful celebration.

The deployed personnel comprises of officers and men strategically stationed at identified flashpoints within the 23 Local Government Areas of Sokoto State especially in volatile areas,strategic locations including the celebration venues.;their presence is aimed at hindering and deterring any potential threat and unnecessary infractions.

The State Commandant further reiterated his fervent commitment through the Operational Order No NSCDC/SSC/OPS/11/2025 comprising Department of Operations and CNAIP Department serving as Core Coordinates for the exercise, playing Supervisory roles during the entire exercise.

He further stated and also tasked all the Area Commanders,Divisional Officers,Departments and Units to implement a robust,tactical and strategic arrangement in strategic locations and also making emphasis in terms of Surveillance both covert and overt operations respectively; and also putting in place strategies to ensure information are adequately gathered were necessary.

He also reiterated the imperative of information gathering and sharing among relevant Security Agencies through effective collaboration , coordination and cooperation in terms of tackling the menace of miscreants, act of vandalism and unfriendly forces throughout the celebration.

He also urge all officers and men to act wisely by displaying high level of commitment and professionalism in carrying out their mandate.

The State Commandant also urge citizens to be law abiding,avoid any form of unnecessary constraint and also refrain from all sorts of nefarious act and infractions that will deter the sanctity of the State.

He extend his esteem regards and best wishes to all citizens and residents a delightful and peaceful Democracy Day Celebration
