ACTING GOC 7 DIVISION CONTINUOUS OPERATIONAL VISIT… Encourages troops to remain resilient and defeat the remnants of terrorists

In continuation of his week-long operational visit to units under 24 Task Force Brigade, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI Brigadier General Ugochukwu Unachukwu has visited troops at Headquarters 3 Battalion located at Gamboru-Ngala, Gajibo and Forward Operation Base Logomani today, Thursday, 22 May, 2025.

Delivering his motivational address, he charged the troops to do more in the fight against the insurgency and thereafter commended them for their bravery and sacrifices. Highlighting the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede’s “Soldiers First” concept, which prioritizes the welfare and well-being of soldiers. He assured the troops that Nigerian Army is committed to providing them with the necessary support and resources to enable them to carry out their constitutional duties effectively emphasizing the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving success against the insurgents.

The GOC emphasized that the “Soldiers First” concept is not just a slogan, but a guiding principle that informs the Army’s decisions and actions. He urged the soldiers to take advantage of the initiative, which aims to improve their living conditions, provide them with modern equipment, and enhance their operational effectiveness.

With patriotism, he further charged the soldiers to remain focused and determined in their efforts to win the war against insurgency. He emphasized that the key to success lies in their ability to work together as a team, leveraging their skills and expertise to outmaneuvers the terrorists. He further urged them to remain steadfast and committed to their duties, assuring them that their efforts would ultimately lead to the defeat of the terrorists.

More so, the GOC while addressing the Civilians Joint Task Force, Hybrid Force and Hunters, he admonished them for the need to synergize and cooperate with the troops for a lasting peace to return.

The visit was a resounding success, as he was able to boost the morale of the troops and reiterate the military’s commitment to defeating the insurgents and restoring peace to the region.
