IHS NIGERIA, NSCDC ENTER AGREEMENT TO BOOST PROTECTION OF ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE

IHS Nigeria presents two ( 2 ) operational vehicles to the NSCDC boss, to boost operational capacity and make the CG’s visit to its office in Lagos, memorable.

The unflinching resolve of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), within the security architecture of our dear country, Nigeria, in ensuring the absolute protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, across the federation can not be overemphasized.

To this end, the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, was ably, received, in Lagos, earlier today, Tuesday, 20th May, 2025, by the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, IHS Nigeria, Mr Mohamad Darwish and his team, at the IHS headquarter office, situated, in Victoria Island.

The Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, IHS Nigeria, Mr Mohamad Darwish recalled, the Corps’ commitment towards improved, protection of the critical national assets and infrastructure of the country as well as the critical role the Corps plays, in carrying the private sector along in its bid to fulfilling its herculean mandate, without fail nor compromise of ethical standards and procedures.

He further charged, the Commandant General to continue to put the nation first as always because his passion and operational endeavors, geared, towards ridding the nation of economic saboteurs and vandals bedeviling national progress, peace and development is not unnoticed.

The Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, therefore, seized, the opportunity, to re – enact the long standing collaboration between the IHS Nigeria and the Corps.

The Commandant General assured, the Executive Vice President and CEO of IHS Nigeria and his team of his administration’s resolve to ensure that the Corps continues to support private sector organizations that believe in fostering the socio – economic progress and peace of our dear country, Nigeria.

He further extolled, the management and staff of the IHS Nigeria, for being worthy ambassadors and being people of impeccable and excellent character, especially, in the manner by which they render their professional services. He also appreciated, the management of the organization, for the socio – economic role it plays in having about forty thousand ( 40,000 ) staff in his employment net.

The highpoint of the all important meeting was the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the IHS Nigeria and the NSCDC led, by the Executive Vice President and CEO of IHS Nigeria and the Commandant General, NSCDC, which will further validate the unwavering commitment of both agencies in the protection of CNAI in the country.

The Executive Vice President and CEO of IHS Nigeria also presented, two ( 2 ) operational vehicles to the Commandant General, NSCDC, in a bid to make his visit to the establishment highly memorable and unforgettable during the faculty tour at the IHS Nigeria’s towers, today. These vehicles are believed, to further help in boosting the operational capacity of the Corps in the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in the country.

Present also at the event today are the following personalities underlisted; Acting Deputy Commandant General, in charge of CNAI, Dr. Eze Benito, mni, the Zonal Commander, Zone 1, Assistant Commandant General Akibo Olusola, fsi, the Director, Legal, IHS Nigeria, Yemisi Diya – Salawu, the Chief Commercial Officer, IHS Nigeria, Mr Akeem Adeshina, the Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Services Officer, IHS Nigeria, Mr Dapo Otunla and many other very distinguished executives of IHS Nigeria.

Other very senior officers from the NSCDC include; the Lagos State Commandant ( Host ), Mr Adedotun Keshinro, the Ogun State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Ekundayo Remilekun, the Oyo State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Augustine Padonu, the Ekiti State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Toma Matthew, the Commandant, Lagos Liason office, Commandant of Corps Modupe Onilede, the Head of CNAI Department in Lagos, Deputy Commandant of Corps Agbetiloye Kolawole, Assistant Commandant of Corps Babatunde Abiodun and many other senior officers, who were also in attendance.
