
… As PCRC Commends IGP’s Leadership Style, DIKOBA Class of 1980/85 Congratulates CP on His Strategic Policing Approach
The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, on Tuesday 13th April, 2025 received the leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Kano State Chapter, led by Amb Dr. Ali Hassan Tudun Bayero, and community leaders from Zango Quarters, led by Alhaji Auwalu Musa Auwalu, on courtesy visits in his office at the Command’s Headquarters Bompai, Kano.
During the PCRC visit, the Chairman commended the Commissioner of Police for his leadership and efforts in maintaining peace and security in Kano State. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Police and the community, emphasizing the PCRC’s role in fostering this relationship. The Chairman also expressed confidence in the leadership and remarkable achievements of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.
Alhaji Auwalu Musa Auwalu, on behalf of the community leaders from Zango Quarters, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police for the Command’s efforts in maintaining peace in Zango and Kano at large. He noted the positive impact of the Command’s policing strategy on the community and pledged their continued support.
In a related development, the DIKOBA Class of 1980/85 led by the Committee Chairman, Alh. Abubakar Abdullahi Ahmad presented a letter to the CP, congratulating him on his posting and achievements as Commissioner of Police in Kano.
The Commissioner of Police on appreciating the visits, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to working closely with the community to maintain peace and stability in Kano State, emphasizing the importance of community participation in the intelligence-driven policing efforts of the Command.
The CP also reiterated the Command’s dedication to community policing and it’s recognition of the critical role community members play in enhancing security.
