MEET THE NEW INFANTRY COMMANDER!MAJOR GENERAL U.A. YUSUF – 58TH COMMANDER, NIGERIAN ARMY INFANTRY CORPS

Major General Usman Abdulmumin Yusuf has officially taken over as the 58th Commander of the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps. A seasoned officer from the 39th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy, he brings decades of operational experience and leadership excellence to the table.

Before this appointment, he served as the Director General of the Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria—where he played a major role in advancing modern training systems for the Army.

At the official handover ceremony in Jaji, Kaduna State, Major General Yusuf made it clear:
“We are responsible for winning all land battles in favour of Nigeria. We will give our best to ensure peace and national stability.”
