Rear Admiral Henry Adedoyin Babalola, (rtd), Former Spokesperson, Nigerian Navy, Opens Up To People’s Security Monitor On Nigeria’s Security Challenges

We are treating insecurity with kid gloves!!! All should just note that at a stage, insecurity, terrorism, banditry and kidnapping would transform into a full scale war. When this happens;
Markets will close!!!
Banks will close!!!!
Law and order will cease!!!!
Airports will close.
Motor parks will close.
Gas stations will close.
Burglary, stealing and killings will escalate.
In the end, lucky survivors will be living in various refugee camps begging for crumbs.
War does not respect status. In 1994, Rwanda’s largest refugee camp in Kibeho housed former ministers and their families.
Senior military officers and their families!!!
Captains of Industry and their families!!!
For those with large sums of money of different denominations hoping to run abroad; just imagine the number of checkpoints manned by heavily armed militia groups and disgruntled locals that believe the elites caused the war. Getting to the nearest border post would indeed be a miracle.
It’s like the government, security agencies, civil society groups and men of conscience have given up on insecurity and focusing on 2027 elections, Akpabio and Natasha, defection, premier and European Champions Leagues matches and other mundane issues!!!!For those simplifying these threats as being caused by the Fulanis, I have an advise for you.
Were we not living peacefully with the Fulanis in the past?
This present state of insecurity is largely caused by foreign elements; the battle tested and rugged Tuaregs, foreign Fulanis, Berbers etc.
Are they backed by foreign powers desirous of destroying Nigeria? Have you forgotten various western literatures that predicted the end of Nigeria? Or the different scenarios in foreign staff, war and defence colleges about Nigeria?
We must wake up from our slumber today!!! I see dark clouds looming over this country.
God will save us when we decide to save ourselves!!!!
The time bomb is tickling and we are living in denial.
My humble opinion.
Citizen Henry Adedoyin Babalola!!!!
