GEN SARASO APPLAUDS INTER- AGENCY COLLABORATION, CALLS FOR ENHANCED JOINT TRAINING AS HE DECLARES 1 DIVISION OPERATIONS PLANNING CADRE 2025 OPEN

The General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force North-West Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso, has commended security agencies for their professionalism and synergy while emphasizing the need for more joint training platforms to strengthen national security.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the 5-Day Division’s Operations Planning Cadre at the Headquarters Auditorium in Kaduna, General Saraso highlighted the importance of the Cadre in enhancing operational planning capabilities and leadership skills among junior commanders.

“I appreciate the participation of officers and personnel from the Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, DSS, Civil Defence and other security/law enforcement agencies. Your commitment to professionalism and collaboration is commendable,” he said.

He further stressed that the Cadre aligns with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede’s Command Philosophy which is “To Consolidate the Transformation of the Nigerian Army towards Bequeathing a Well-Motivated and Combat-Ready Force that can Effectively Discharge its Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint and Multi-Agency Environment.”

By promoting inter-agency collaboration and joint training, the Nigerian Army aims to enhance national security, a goal that is also emphasized by experts in the field. Effective collaboration and joint training can help agencies address complex challenges, share resources and expertise, and ultimately achieve better outcomes.

The event was attended by Senior Military Officers, Heads of Security and Law Enforcement Agencies or their representatives, and some members of Directing Staff from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji who were the resource persons at the Cadre.

Highlights included presentation of souvenirs, lectures, and group photographs.
