NSCDC Enugu State Command Bids Farewell to One of Its Finest: – – -Superintendent Okafor Joseph (Oga Joe) Retires After Over Three Decades of Distinguished Service

On Wednesday, 27th November 2024, the NSCDC Enugu State Command organized a memorable retirement ceremony to honor Superintendent Okafor Joseph, affectionately known as “Oga Joe” among colleagues and friends.

The event which was attended by the State Commandant, Dr. Elijah Willie, principal staff of the command, officers and men as well as family and friends of the celebrant; began with prayers, praise, worship, and the rendition of the congregational hymn “Onward, Christian Soldiers March.”
The State Commandant, Dr. Elijah Willie Etim, delivered an inspiring exhortation, reflecting on Superintendent Okafor’s exceptional service and his pivotal role in training officers and men of the NSCDC for over 30 years.

The high point of the ceremony was the presentation of a plaque of honor to the celebrant. Colleagues and dignitaries took turns delivering glowing tributes, acknowledging Oga Joe’s dedication, professionalism, and impact on the Command.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic march-off of Superintendent Okafor and his family by fellow superintendents, followed by group photographs to immortalize the occasion.

Superintendent Okafor Joseph’s retirement marks the end of an illustrious career and the beginning of a well-deserved rest. The NSCDC Enugu State Command extends its best wishes to Oga Joe as he embarks on this new chapter.
