The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina Command, *Commandant of Corps Jamilu Abdu Indabawa has received the newly established and well equipped ultra modern division with operational Toyota Helux today 21st November, 2024 at Radda town in Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

In his keynote address at the commissioning ceremony, the State Commandant reiterated the commitments and dedication of NSCDC to promote safety and security for the good people of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.

Represented by Head of Operations *DCC Nuhu Dalha*, Commandant Indabawa revealed that he strategized the establishment of ten new divisions across the State as part of his renewed strategies to tackle the rising insecurity in the States.Five out of the ten, comprising Sabon  Gida,Ajiwa, Dayi, Dumurkul and Radda Divisions have already been commissioned and commenced Operations.The command is also working accidiosly to ensure that the remaining five Divisions covering Daura, Funtua, Dutsanma, Jibia and Modoji area commence full operation.

The CC thanked the *State Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, CON* for his  supports and contributions to the NSCDC in the State.

Indabawa also commended the *Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR* for approving the establishment of the 10 new divisions in the State as a move to address the insecurity bedevilling the State.He called on the good people of Katsina State to be law abiding and obey rules and regulations.

In his address, the Hon. Chairman Charanchi Local Government Area, Hon Ibrahim Sani Koda thanked Allah the Almighty for witnessing such historic occasion.He said the central objective of this leadership under Governor Radda is to tackle the insecurity situation in the State.

“Charanchi Local Government Area is also following the measures set aside by the State Government to bring to an end all criminal activities” the Chairman reiterated.

While commissioning the new Division, the Hon. Chairman commended the dedication of NSCDC personnel in promoting safety and security in the LGA and the State as a whole. He said the newly built NSCDC Divisional office will boost the security of lives and property. The Honourable further called on the good people of Radda to continue to support the security agencies with timely intelligence to end the insecurity in the area.

The Chairman was supported by the representatives of the State Commandant,

 CP Rabiu Ladodo (Rtd), Vice Chairman, Hon. Aminu Sani, District Head of Charanchi and Sarkin Shanun Katsina, District Head of Kuraye and Kurayen Katsina, representatives of NPF, DSS,NIS, NDLEA, KTCWC  among others.

In a well colourful occasion, the newly commissioned Divisional office and brand new Toyota Hilux were handed to the State Commandant by the Honourable Chairman.

The CC later handed the keys to the newly deployed Divisional Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC) Aminu Isah Bindawa.This marks the commencement of full administrative and operational activities of the new divisional office.Relevant personnel were also deployed to provide adequate security in the Division.CC Indabawa charged all the personnel for commitments, dedication and hardwork.He also assured that the command will give them the needed support.

Synergy and collaboration with all the security agencies in the State, Katsina Community Watch Corps,  Hunters group and local vigilant groups are part of the drive of Commandant Indabawa to tackle the insecurity in the State.In addition, the Command established and maintained more Outposts to support community policing and promote safety of residence.

Katsina NSCDC  thanks His Excellency the State Governor most sincerely for all the support and contributions especially accomodations, operational vehicles and relevant logistics.Our sincere appreciation is also to the Indefatigable and highly erudite Commandant General for granting approval to achieve the drive of establishing ten(10) new Divisions in the State and enabling environment to execute the mandate of the Corps.

The support and contributions of the Honourable Chairman Charanchi Local Government Area to the NSCDC in the State are well appreciated.The Command also appreciates the support and contributions of relevants stakeholders in the State.

The Commandant assures for  adequate Security as the Command will not relent in its commitments to uncover all the activities of Vandals, economic saboteurs and other criminals in the State.

The Corps in the State  thanks  the general public for the continuous cooperation and urges for more support to the Security agencies by providing actionable and timely intelligence that will help uncover the activities of miscreants in the State. 

The Command remains dedicated to ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for the good people of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
