Gombe Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Yahaya Wins ‘Security Role Model Governor Of The Year,’ Award, Set To Deliver People’s Security Monitor 2024 Annual Lecture

Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, has emerged as the People’s Security Monitor 2024 ‘Security Role Model Governor of the Year’ award recipient.

Additionally, Governor Inuwa will also deliver the People’s Security Monitor 2024 Annual Lecture with the theme: ‘Attainment of Ideal Security for the People: The Gombe State Example.’

The grand event is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 11th December, 2024 at the Nigeria National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.

People’s Security Monitor, a top-notch security media platform, described the governor’s untiring efforts and pragmatic approach to the provision of security in Gombe State. as exemplary.

Governor Yahaya’s letter of nomination for the grand honour describes him as a ‘sterling asset to the people of Gombe State and the entire country.’

“It may please your Excellency to know that your acute enthusiasm for security for the people of Gombe State has been a source of pride for our evaluation team since your assumption of office; we have watched with keen interest your total commitment to the attainment of reasonable security measures in Gombe State,” said the nomination letter.

‘’So profound have been your security measures that you have turned Gombe State into a safe haven for thousands of insecurity victims from the neighbouring states of Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, and Taraba.

“An independent survey by our evaluation team has confirmed that Gombe State, under your leadership, is one of the northeastern states with the lowest fatality rates compared to other states within the region, thus making it a safe haven for thousands of people embattled with security challenges in neighbouring states like Borno, Bauchi Adamawa, Yobe, and Taraba.” the nomination letter added.
