Army Chief Charges Troops on Professional Conduct as New Oyo, Osun Formations Commence Operations

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Auwalu Mahmuda, has charged troops deployed to the newly established military formations in Oyo and Osun states to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties.Major General Mahmuda gave the directive while addressing officers and soldiers of the new formations, stressing the importance of maintaining the Nigerian Army’s core values of integrity, loyalty, courage and respect for human rights.He cautioned personnel against any form of unprofessional conduct that could undermine the image of the Army, urging them to remain committed to their constitutional responsibilities of safeguarding lives and property.The GOC noted that the establishment of the new formations is aimed at strengthening security operations, improving response capabilities and enhancing the military’s effectiveness in addressing emerging security challenges within the two states and adjoining areas.He further encouraged the troops to foster cordial relationships with host communities, collaborate with other security agencies and remain vigilant in carrying out their operational assignments.Major General Mahmuda expressed confidence in the ability of the personnel to justify the confidence reposed in them by the military high command and contribute significantly to the maintenance of peace, security and stability in the region.Available next action: Create a downloadable DOCX file here in this chat containing the editable prose above
