The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ebonyi State Command, has held an enlarged strategic meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Heads of Departments and Heads of Units, reinforcing the need for discipline, professionalism and strict compliance with the Corps’ rules and regulations.

The meeting, convened by the State Commandant, CC Francis Chika Nnadi, was held at the Command Hall of the State Headquarters in Abakaliki in line with directives from the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

The activities began with an inspection of the Quarter Guard, followed by the Muster Parade, after which senior officers proceeded to the Command Hall for the enlarged meeting.

Addressing the officers, Nnadi reminded personnel of the responsibilities and professional standards expected of every member of the Corps. He urged them to conduct themselves with discipline, integrity and professionalism while ensuring strict adherence to the rules of engagement in the performance of their duties.

The Commandant emphasised the importance of obedience to lawful directives, teamwork and respect for the established chain of command. He warned personnel against conduct capable of undermining the image and integrity of the Corps, stressing that officers must remain conscious of the responsibilities entrusted to them as members of a national security organisation.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to review ongoing operational and administrative activities, identify areas requiring attention and communicate additional directives aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening the effectiveness of the Command.

Nnadi subsequently charged all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Heads of Departments and Heads of Units to ensure that the directives issued during the meeting were properly communicated to personnel and effectively implemented across their respective formations.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Ebonyi State Command to maintaining a disciplined, professional and responsive workforce capable of delivering on the statutory mandate of the Corps and contributing meaningfully to the protection of lives, property and critical national assets.
