NSCDC NABS A SERIAL RAPIST IN LAFIA

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command has apprehended one Danjuma Yakubu 25 years M’ from Akunza Jarme, in Obi local government area of Nasarawa State.

The State Commandant NSCDC Nasarawa State Command, Ismaila Abdullahi made this known through the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Jerry Victor at the Command Headquarters in Lafia the State Capital, while addressing journalists.

The Spokesman said, the suspect, Danjuma Yakubu, a staff of a private guard working at a mechanic village in Akunzaa Jarme, lured his victim, Bilkisu Mohammed 12 years old who use to hawk within the same area, to his security post and forcefully had his way.

The victim, Bilkisu Mohammed said that after the first time, never stopped, until he was caught in the act and brought to the NSCDC office. 

The Suspect has confessed to have committed  the said crime and  pleaded for mercy.

The State Commandant *Ismaila Abdullahi* has condemn this act in it’s totality, and decry the incessant rape and defilement cases in the state, he said the suspects will be charge to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution, this will serve as a deterrent to others.

The State Commandant *Ismaila Abdullahi* in his words I want to use this medium to plead with all  parents and guardians to be wary of the movement of their children and wards, especially the girl child as they need more attention, in other not to give an iota of moment for the bad elements to perpetrate their evil intention, as the right of the Girl Child must be protected at all cost.

He urged the general public to be proactive in crime reporting, and also report any crime to NSCDC office or any security agency closest to them.
