Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested six suspected suppliers of logistics to terrorist groups and intercepted a large consignment of materials allegedly being transported to insurgents operating in the North-East region.

The suspects were apprehended during an intelligence-led operation carried out on July 19, 2026, along a route believed to be frequently used for supplying terrorist elements. According to military authorities, the operation targeted a suspected logistics network that has been supporting insurgent activities in the region.

The Acting Military Information Officer of the North-East Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, Captain Muhammed Goni, disclosed the development in a statement on Monday, describing the operation as a major success in ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist supply chains.

According to the statement, troops of Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai acted on credible intelligence and executed a coordinated covert operation aimed at dismantling networks responsible for providing material support to terrorist groups.

“The operation resulted in the arrest of six suspected terrorist logistics suppliers who were travelling in five vehicles while conveying a large consignment of materials believed to be destined for terrorist elements,” the statement said.

Items recovered from the suspects include 202 cartons of herbicides, one jerrycan containing a substance suspected to be acid, a Starlink wireless internet communication system, six bags of NPK fertilizer, 10 bags of rice, 50 hoes, and 20 packs of knapsack sprayer pumps.

Military authorities said preliminary assessments indicate that several of the recovered items possess dual-use capabilities and could potentially support terrorist logistics, mobility, communication, and sustainment operations.

Captain Goni explained that some of the recovered materials, particularly the NPK fertilizer and suspected acid, would undergo detailed technical and forensic analysis to determine whether they were intended for the production of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

He noted that the seizure represents a significant setback for terrorist logistics networks and further weakens their capacity to sustain operational activities across the North-East.

According to him, the suspects and all recovered exhibits have been handed over to the appropriate Military Intelligence Regiment for comprehensive investigation.

The investigation, he said, is expected to establish the intended recipients of the materials, uncover the broader logistics network, and facilitate the arrest of additional collaborators, financiers, and sponsors.

The military spokesman further revealed that information obtained from rescued hostages and families of surrendered terrorists indicates that sustained military operations targeting supply routes are having a significant impact on insurgent groups.

He stated that ongoing disruptions of logistics networks have led to shortages of food, medical supplies, communication equipment, and other essential materials within terrorist enclaves.

According to preliminary debriefings, these shortages have forced many insurgents to abandon their camps, families, and hostages while attempting to evade continuous military offensives.

Captain Goni reaffirmed the commitment of Operation Hadin Kai to intensifying intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling terrorist support structures throughout the theatre of operations.

He stressed that troops would continue to target terrorists, financiers, logistics suppliers, informants, and collaborators in order to deny insurgent groups the resources and operational freedom required to sustain acts of terrorism.

The military also appealed to residents of the North-East and other members of the public to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information on suspicious activities, movements, and individuals, noting that public cooperation remains critical to ongoing counter-terrorism efforts and the restoration of lasting peace in the region.
