Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, on Tuesday received the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, during a working visit to the Government House.
The visit provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss issues of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on deepening collaboration between the Niger State Government and the NSCDC in addressing security challenges and enhancing the protection of lives, property, and critical national assets across the state.
During the meeting, Governor Bago reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to partnering with security agencies to sustain peace, strengthen public safety, and create an enabling environment for socio-economic development in Niger State.
The Governor also acknowledged the vital role of the NSCDC in safeguarding critical infrastructure, supporting community security initiatives, and complementing the efforts of other security agencies in maintaining law and order.
The engagement underscored the shared resolve of the Niger State Government and the NSCDC to foster stronger institutional cooperation aimed at improving security outcomes and promoting sustainable development throughout the state.
