Army Reaffirms Commitment Against Cultism, Indiscipline In Command Schools

The Nigerian Army has restated its commitment against cultism and indiscipline in it’s schools with pledge to eliminating menace through the knowledge gained in the classrooms.

The Commander, Army Headquarters (AHQ) Garrison Major General KA Isoni stated this at the 24th annual graduation of Command Day Secondary School,Lungi in Abuja.

The Commander who was represented by the Director AHQ Education Services Lt-Col S Isa said Command Secondary Schools in line with it motto priorities’ ‘discipline and knowledge’ and charged them to desist from acts capable of damaging the image of the school.

He said ” Knowledge entails all forms of curricular and core-curricular activities which bring about the desired change in the behaviour of learners. Discipline is a sign of effective Iearning, hence Knowledge gained fosters through endurance in various categories of learning. Under the visionary leadership of the commandant this school has become a beacon of educational excellence, specifically in the realm of scientific exploration, development of humanity, aesthetic value, cultural and moral development. Your passion for fostering love of educational and intellectual curiosity among students, combined with your unwavering commitment to providing a nurturing learning environment, is truly commendable.

“Graduands are hereby implored to be good ambassadors of this great learning institution and to desist from any act that would deter her image. Never stop learning and striving for excellence. I heartily congratulate the graduating students of this citadel of learning as it has not been an easy journey”.

He charged the graduating class that though the journey may be challenging but with determination and hard work, great things will be achieved.
