NCDC MD/CEO Visits NSCDC Nasarawa Commandant, Seeks Strategic Security Partnership


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, has received a delegation from the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) on a courtesy visit to the State Commandant, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, at the Command Headquarters in Lafia.
The visit was aimed at familiarisation and to formally explore areas of strategic collaboration between the two institutions. Key focus areas discussed included community safety, capacity building, intelligence sharing, and the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.
Speaking during the visit, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NCDC, Dr Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyi, commended the NSCDC for its professionalism and visible impact in safeguarding lives and property across Nasarawa State. He described the Corps as a vital stakeholder in Nigeria’s security architecture and expressed confidence that a strong partnership would enhance service delivery and deepen grassroots engagement across the region.
In his response, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru warmly welcomed Dr Tsenyi and his delegation to the NSCDC Headquarters. He reaffirmed the Corps’ readiness to collaborate with credible institutions whose mandates align with national security and community development objectives.
The Commandant emphasised that effective synergy among government agencies remains critical to addressing emerging security challenges and strengthening public trust. He further assured the delegation of the Command’s commitment to cooperation within the framework of its statutory responsibilities, noting that partnerships founded on professionalism and shared values would produce sustainable outcomes.
The courtesy visit concluded on a cordial note, with both parties expressing a shared commitment to sustained engagement and future collaboration in the interest of peace, public safety, and national development.
