Gov. Umar Bago Leads Dignitaries at 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day in Niger

The Executive Governor of Niger State, His Excellency, Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, on Wednesday led top security chiefs and government officials at the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day (AFCRD) wreath-laying ceremony in Minna.
Among the dignitaries present was the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, mnips, who joined the governor and other senior officers in honouring Nigeria’s fallen heroes who paid the supreme price in the line of duty and selfless service to humanity.
Also in attendance were the TRADOC Commander, the Commander of the 31 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, and representatives of the 013 Quick Response Force (QRF) of the Nigerian Air Force, reflecting strong inter-agency solidarity and respect for the armed forces.
The solemn ceremony took place at the Cenotaph Ground, opposite 123 Quarters, Minna, on January 15, 2026, marking a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to national service and security.
