The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Zamfara State Command, has approved the deployment of five hundred and fifty-five (555) personnel to ensure the safety of lives and property during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The State Commandant, CC Sani Mustapha, confirmed that the personnel have been strategically deployed to worship centres and other key locations across the fourteen (14) local government areas of the state to guarantee peaceful and hitch-free festivities. He noted that security measures have been intensified to ensure a successful Yuletide celebration for residents.
According to the Commandant, NSCDC personnel are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, vigilance and consistency throughout the festive period, in line with the Corps’ mandate to preserve peace and public order across the state.
He further assured residents that the command remains proactive and fully committed to responding swiftly to any security concerns that may arise during the celebrations.
The State Commandant reaffirmed that the NSCDC, under the able leadership of the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, OFR, mni, remains resolute in its commitment to safeguarding the populace and protecting the nation’s critical assets and infrastructure.
The Zamfara State Command therefore urged members of the public to cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable festive season for all.
