BE PROFESSIONAL AND EXEMPLARY IN CONDUCT, COMMANDANT IGBO URGES OFFICERS AHEAD OF ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

As preparations intensify for one of Nigeria’s major off-season elections, the Anambra State Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, has announced a robust deployment of personnel to ensure peace and security before, during, and after the polls.

Addressing officers under his command, the Delta State Commandant, Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo, charged all personnel to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and discipline while performing their duties throughout the election period.

Commandant Igbo emphasized the strategic importance of Anambra State to Delta State, noting that both states share close geographical and socio-economic ties. “We cannot afford to allow any breakdown of law and order in our neighboring state, as the ripple effects could directly impact Delta State,” he stated.

He further urged officers to steer clear of all forms of electoral malpractice and to project the positive image of the Corps through exemplary conduct at their various duty posts.

Commandant Igbo also reassured personnel of the unwavering support of the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, who has made adequate provisions to ensure the welfare and motivation of all officers deployed for election duty.

In conclusion, he called on officers to work harmoniously with other sister security agencies and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to guarantee a peaceful, free, fair, and credible election. He reminded them to avoid unnecessary rivalry and focus on the shared objective of national security and democratic integrity.
