YOUR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING MY TOP MOST PRIORITY, GOC 7 Division Tells His Personnel

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Brigadier General Abubakar Haruna disclosed in a message to the people of Chibok that their health and well-being will always remain his topmost priority.

The GOC made this known on Wednesday, 17 July 2024 while presenting assorted drugs and other critical medical supplies to Brigadier General DK Zurkushi Sickbay in Government Secondary School Chibok.

According to the GOC who was represented at the occasion by the Commander, 28 Task Force Brigade, Brigadier General Bede Amakor said the gesture was a result of the earlier promise made by the GOC during his operational visit to the Brigade’s Area of Operations.

In his words “The NA has continued to intensify efforts to end insurgency within the NE and we are determined to achieve that also through our nonkinetic effort towards winning the hearts and minds of members of our various host communities across the theatres of operation”. He therefore implored the management and staff of the school to make judicious use of the drugs and items donated.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school management, the Principal Mr Mohammed Bukar expressed his profound appreciation to the GOC and the NA at large for their continuous support and concern for the welfare and well-being of the students and the entire members of the Chibok community who are also benefiting from the services of the Sickbay and promised to maintain and ensure proper management of the medical supplies and the drugs.
