CP SALMAN DOGO GARBA MEETS SUPERVISING POLICE OFFICERS, CHARGES OFFICERS ON PROFESSIONALISM, SELFLESS SERVICE, ACCOUNTABILITY 

… As CP Warns Against Over-Detention of Suspects, Entertaining Civil Cases; Speaks Tough on Involvement in Corrupt Practices 

On 8th of July 2024, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba convened a pivotal meeting with the Supervising Police Officers of the Command including Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Tactical Commanders and other Senior Police Officers of the Command. The meeting focused on promoting core values of professionalism, selfless service, and accountability. 

The meeting which held at the Conference Hall of the Officers’ Mess in Bompai Kano also aimed at reminding the Officers of their primary responsibility and streamlining the policing strategies adopted by the Police Command with a view of achieving more comprehensive and positive results. 

During the meeting,  the CP after appreciating the Officers for their efforts in crime fighting particularly the menace of thuggery (Daba) activities, charged them to be good ambassadors of the Force by exhibiting professionalism, ensuring selfless service and justifying accountability while conducting their duties. 

In furtherance, the CP warned the Officers against over-detention of suspects, entertaining civil cases, and being involved in any form of corrupt practices. 

The CP reiterates that the commitment to professionalism, selfless service and accountability is a guiding light towards upholding the highest standard of excellence and 

strengthening the bond of trust with the public. 

Finally, members of the public should note that their safety and security are the top priority of the Police Command and the Command will remain committed toward providing a safer and more secure environment for all residents in the State.
