OBA YORUBA AND HIS COUNCIL PAY COURTESY VISIT TO NSCDC JIGAWA STATE COMMANDANT

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, on Tuesday, 29th July 2025, received His Royal Majesty, the Oba Yoruba of Jigawa State, accompanied by his esteemed Council of Chiefs, on a courtesy visit to the State Command Headquarters in Dutse.

The visit, which was marked with traditional dignity and mutual respect, aimed to strengthen collaboration between the Corps and the Yoruba community in Jigawa State, particularly in the areas of peace-building, intelligence sharing, and community safety.

Commandant Bodinga, in his welcome address, expressed deep appreciation for the Oba’s visit and commended the Yoruba community for their consistent support to security agencies across the state. He emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in complementing the efforts of security operatives through timely information and grassroots mobilization.

“Security is a collective responsibility. The support of royal fathers and community leaders is vital in preventing crimes and maintaining order. We are grateful for your visit and your continued partnership,” Commandant Bodinga noted.

In his remarks, Oba Yoruba applauded the proactive leadership of the Commandant and the professionalism of NSCDC personnel across the state. He pledged the full cooperation of the Yoruba community in ensuring a peaceful and secure environment, while also calling for more civic engagement between security institutions and ethnic communities.

The NSCDC Jigawa State Command remains committed to its mandate of protecting lives, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and fostering peace in all communities within the state.
