The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has been described as an inspiring leader whose Midas touch has elevated the NSCDC to acceptable global standards during his three-year administration.

Edo State Commandant Gbenga Agun disclosed this on Thursday while receiving the third edition of the compendium of achievements at an elaborate ceremony at the Edo NSCDC Command in Benin City.

Commandant Agun stated that CG Audi, since his appointment as the helmsman of the NSCDC, has brought immense fortune and value to the entire Corps.

“I strongly believe that CG Audi’s leadership has been invaluable to the corps over the past three years.

Take, for instance, the mass promotion exercise he conducted for more than 20,000 personnel. Additionally, he established the NSCDC Staff College in Jos, Plateau State, acquired mass weapons to fight criminality, created a female squad to enhance security in schools for the Safe Schools project, established an arms training school in Nasarawa State, introduced the NSCDC Special Mines Marshal, and implemented career progression courses.

Above all, the professional ethical standard which he CG Audi has consistently prioritized has helped the Corps garner more confidence and support from members of the public.’’ Agun said.
