The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gbenga Agun has commended the NSCDC leadership for its uprightness and efforts which he says have helped build up Nigeria’s security system for several decades.

Commandant Agun said this on Thursday at the Edo headquarters of the NSCDC while receiving copies of the third-year compendium of achievements of the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

There is no doubt that all the contents contained in this compendium, as explained by its publisher, reflect the ideals and achievements of the NSCDC. The fact remains that Nigerians have consistently placed confidence in the corps’ service delivery capacity, especially under Dr. Ahmed Audi, the current indefatigable leader who has tirelessly worked to reposition the corps for much-needed revolutionary changes.

In fact, the NSCDC is currently overstressed with demands for service from Nigerians. This situation is indicative of the efforts made by the Audi-led NSCDC to guarantee and reassure Nigerians of its capacity and professional competency in security matters within Nigeria.

“I’m pleased to report that the NSCDC is among the select options favored by Nigerians when considering security matters.” said Commandant Agun.

Commandant Agun, however, commended the efforts of the compendium publisher, Isiaka Mustapha, whom he described as an ally of the NSCDC. He emphasized that it takes a great deal of effort and commitment for such a challenging academic exercise to be conceived and delivered.
