In preparation for the visit of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Akwa Ibom State tomorrow, Saturday 21st June, 2025 to formally receive the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno into the All Progressive Congress (APC), Commandant Bashar Hussaini has made strategic security preparation and deployment to ensure that the visit and event is successful and devoid of security breaches.

As such, armed personnel have been deployed to the Airport, International Stadium, venue of the reception rally, strategic locations within and around Uyo, as well as identified flashpoints.

Furthermore, NSCDC personnel drawn from different tactical units conducted a show of force around the state capital and other major cities to send a strong warning of the Corps’ readiness to deal decisively with any subversive act from any one or group of persons.

Accordingly, Commandant Bashar has mobilized 500 personnel of the Corps to beef up security at every designated point and urged personnel to be professional, diligent, courteous and ruthless with anyone who constitutes a nuisance.
