Democracy Day: We’re Ahead Of Protesters, Trouble Makers – Plateau NSCDC Commandant, Ishaku Musa

Helmsman of the Plateau Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Ishaku Musa, has disclosed how preemptive and proactive security measures taken by NSCDC operatives contributed to the hitch-free Democracy Day celebration in Plateau State today.

Speaking with journalists a few hours ago, Commandant Musa emphasized the efficacy of the dependable and coded operational order that had been perfected ahead of the grand event. He described it as a major security strategy that helped ensure the smooth celebration, in collaboration with other security agencies in the state.

“We procured our intelligence ahead of time and seized the best opportunity to thwart threats from insecurity forces that might have taken advantage of the event,” he said.

“Of course, we are known for our proactive measures when it comes to restoring civil order if the need arises. I’m happy that once again, we have proven our worth by contributing, alongside other security agencies, to a hitch-free 2025 Democracy Day celebration in Plateau State. For this, I sincerely thank all residents of Plateau State for their support and cooperation throughout this epoch-making event.”

Commandant Musa reiterated that the safety of lives and property remains a cardinal responsibility of the Corps. He assured residents that beyond Democracy Day, the NSCDC remains committed to providing a peaceful environment to enable citizens to go about their daily activities without fear or molestation.
