CIVIL DEFENCE OFFICERS’ WIVES ASSOCIATION (CDOWA) PAYS A COURTESY VISIT TO THE NIGERIAN ARMY OFFICERS’ WIVES ASSOCIATION (NAOWA)

The Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA), led by the wife of the Enugu State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. (Mrs.) Willie Josephine, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairperson of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs. Oritseseyen Adeola Olatoye, who is also the wife of the General Officer Commanding the 82 Division Headquarters, Major General O.T. Olatoye.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. (Mrs.) Willie reiterated her appreciation to Mrs. Olatoye and all members of NAOWA for their hospitality. She emphasized the need to further consolidate the existing cordial and mutual relationship between the two associations over the past few years. She also proposed the exploration of areas of mutual interest and the possibility of joint initiatives that would benefit both organizations and the larger community.

Dr. (Mrs.) Willie expressed sincere gratitude to Mrs. Olatoye and the NAOWA members for the warm and cordial reception. She acknowledged NAOWA as a long-standing and well-established organization, noting that the CDOWA Enugu Chapter has much to learn from their experience and structur

Dr. (Mrs.) Willie further commended NAOWA for its remarkable efforts in supporting Nigerian Army personnel and their families, particularly through its commitment to welfare, empowerment, and community service. She expressed optimism about a strengthened partnership moving forward.

In her response, Mrs. Olatoye warmly appreciated the CDOWA leadership for the thoughtful visit. She particularly praised Dr. (Mrs.) Willie for her initiative-driven leadership, referencing a commendable CDOWA Enugu event she had attended in the recent past.

She affirmed that CDOWA and NAOWA are sister associations, citing the strong collaboration and mutual respect between the Nigerian Army and the NSCDC.

Mrs. Olatoye further expressed her delight at the progress and advancement of CDOWA, pledging NAOWA’s continued support and willingness to collaborate on shared goals.
