Buba<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A senior Army officer identified as Lieutenant Commodore M. Buba has been stabbed to death by a hoodlum in Kaduna state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was learnt that the hoodlum attacked the military officer while attempting to rob him of his mobile phone and other valuables at the Kawo bridge in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eyewitnesses disclosed that the officer had a flat tyre while on his way to Jaji, where he was taking a course at the Armed Forces and Command Staff College (AFCSC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe alighted from his car trying to change the flat tyre, when the unknown assailant suddenly appeared and demanded him to handover his GSM phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe senior officer refused questioning the rationale when the assailant suddenly stabbed him on the chest with a local knife,\u201d a source was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suleiman Dahiru, a local vigilante, who also witnessed the attack and attempted to help the military officer, was also stabbed on the hand by the assailant too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, reports indicated that the assailant was subsequently overpowered and mobbed by nearby people who also killed him on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A senior military officer who preferred anonymity, said, \u201cThe wounded senior officer was initially rushed to Manaal Hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe corpse of the deceased was subsequently evacuated to 44 Nigerian Army Referee Hospital, Kaduna mortuary for further action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTroops in plain clothes, police and other civil security agencies have been mobilised and tasked on covert operations to identify and clear all miscreants loitering around bus stops and other black spots in Kaduna Metropolis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan confirmed the incident and described it as \u2018unfortunate\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He assured that the police were doing everything possible to secure the area and the state at large<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Late Lieutenant Commodore M.
