The Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has directed the deployment of over 28,000 tactical operatives across the country to ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-el-Kabir celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audi explained that the deployment, spanning the Intelligence Directorate, Special Female Squad, Commandant General\u2019s Special Intelligence Squad, Mining Marshals, Quick Response Tactical Team, Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), operations department, and Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) operatives, is part of the Corps\u2019 robust security strategy for ensuring a safe and incident-free Eid celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Audi, in a statement by the agency\u2019s spokesperson, CSC Afolabi Babawale, stated that the move aligns with NSCDC\u2019s commitment to protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, while also safeguarding lives and property against criminal elements seeking to exploit the festive season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emphasising national security priorities, the CG highlighted the Corps\u2019 ongoing operations to combat insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, vandalism, illegal bunkering, economic sabotage, and farmers\/herders clashes. He called for enhanced collaboration and coordination among all security agencies to confront these asymmetric threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking during a high-level strategic security meeting with the Corps\u2019 top management, state commandants, and heads of formations, Audi underscored the importance of community engagement and intelligence-led operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, credible intelligence from the grassroots remains the foundation of every successful security initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo single agency has a monopoly on security. We must work in synergy with sister agencies and local communities to build a safer country. I\u2019m confident this Eid-el-Kabir will be peaceful and secure,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Commandant General also urged private security operators to actively contribute to the security network by sharing timely intelligence and information, particularly in emergency situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He called on the public to support security efforts, noting that collective vigilance and cooperation are vital to achieving effective nationwide coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
