{"id":9661,"date":"2025-06-04T02:42:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T02:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=9661"},"modified":"2025-06-04T02:43:06","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T02:43:06","slug":"its-old-nigeria-customs-reacts-to-operatives-shooting-incident-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=9661","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s old &#8211; Nigeria Customs reacts to operatives shooting incident video"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailypost.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Nigeria-Customs-Service.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Nigerian Customs Service has stated that the video circulating on social media concerning a shooting incident involving its operatives is an old recording from 2019.<br>The spokesperson for the NCS, Abdullahi Maiwada, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.<br>The Service clarified that, contrary to claims suggesting the incident occurred recently, it actually took place on 17th February 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe NCS wishes to categorically state that the incident in question occurred on Sunday, 17 February 2019, and is not a recent development, as portrayed by some online platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expanding further, the NCS added, \u201cFollowing the ugly occurrence at the Shagamu Interchange in Ogun State, the Service took immediate steps to address the situation in line with its internal procedures.<br>\u201cA public statement was issued at the time, and a disciplinary panel was established to investigate the matter thoroughly.
