The\u00a0Nigerian Army<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has dismissed a soldier, Lance Corporal Samuel Emmanuel, over his involvement in an armed robbery incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dismissal followed a court-martial held at the 16 Brigade Garrison earlier in the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an official memo from the Nigerian Army, Lance Corporal Emmanuel, who was serving under the 16 Brigade Garrison, was found guilty after thorough investigation and military legal proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has since been handed over to the Nigerian Police Force<\/a> <\/strong>for further prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLance Corporal Samuel Emmanuel has been officially dismissed from the Nigerian Army following his involvement in a case of armed robbery,<\/em>\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter a thorough investigation and military proceedings, he was found guilty and consequently discharged from the Regiment,\u201d <\/em>it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
