the Nigerian Army for its commitment to securing the Illela\u2013Sokoto\u2013Badagry Super Highway, a major infrastructure project under President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The commendation came during a one-day operational visit to Kebbi State, where the Minister met with troops stationed at the Forward Operations Base Laager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to the soldiers, Badaru highlighted the economic and developmental importance of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis project is a game-changer for travelers, particularly those commuting between Sokoto and Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt will stimulate the economy by creating numerous jobs and economic opportunities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Defence Minister also stressed the government\u2019s appreciation of the troops\u2019 efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou understand the importance of this road and the critical nature of your mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat is why the President has entrusted me with the responsibility of visiting you to personally express our appreciation for the exceptional work you are doing,\u201d he told the soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a statement signed by Mati Ali, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Minister, the visit was part of a broader effort to assess ongoing military operations in the region and ensure the safety of critical infrastructure projects nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Illela\u2013Sokoto\u2013Badagry Super Highway is expected to significantly enhance transportation and trade across Nigeria\u2019s northwest and southwest corridors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
