The Chief of Naval Staff of Nigeria, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, has commissioned a Special Community Intervention Quick Impact Project at the Waziri Lawal LEA Primary School in Zaria Local Government Area, Kaduna State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative includes the renovation of seven classroom blocks, the provision of new furniture, the construction of an administrative building, four toilet blocks, and the installation of a solar-powered borehole for clean water access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on behalf of the Naval Chief, Rear Admiral Monday Unurhiere emphasized that the project is part of the Nigerian Navy\u2019s broader civil-military cooperation strategy, aimed at fostering development and strengthening ties with local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vice Admiral Ogalla noted that education is a vital tool for community empowerment and praised the efforts of Rear Admiral Muhammad Abdullahi, who facilitated the project and currently serves as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Admiralty University of Nigeria for his continued dedication to educational development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe projects aim to provide a conducive learning environment and improve access to basic amenities like water,\u201d<\/strong> <\/em>the CNS explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ogalla further disclosed that the initiative was part of the Nigerian Navy\u2019s efforts to contribute to the Federal government\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe Quick Impact Projects have received positive feedback,\u201d endorsing the expansion of civil-military cooperation across the country.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The CNS emphasized the need for continued collaboration between the Navy, Armed Forces, and security agencies to address common challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe event marked the second set of Quick Impact Projects inaugurated in Zaria within five months, demonstrating the Navy\u2019s commitment to impacting lives.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAs the Nigerian Navy continues to engage in initiatives that promote socio-economic development, its efforts are likely to leave a lasting impact on the communities it serves,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Ogalla emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Earlier, the projects\u2019 facilitator, Rear Admiral Muhammad Abdullahi said these projects would in no small measure contribute positively to the educational advancement of the pupils of Zaria as a citadel of learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said that the projects were also part of efforts towards the emplacement of cordial civil-military relationship by the Nigerian Navy, the community as well as societal support to other sister services and law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to him, the Navy recognizes the place of education in human capital development, therefore emplacing an institution like this is key to early child educational disposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPertinently, as you all know, the growing number of out-of-school children has been a concern to the government.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cConsequently, the renovation of this school will create the desired enabling environment for learning by the pupils of this Community and beyond.
