{"id":7846,"date":"2025-05-01T04:44:44","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T04:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=7846"},"modified":"2025-05-01T04:45:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T04:45:15","slug":"troops-of-6-brigade-foil-kidnap-attempt-rescue-victims-in-wukari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=7846","title":{"rendered":"TROOPS OF 6 BRIGADE FOIL KIDNAP ATTEMPT, RESCUE VICTIMS IN WUKARI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army\/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Wukari have once again demonstrated their commitment to the protection of lives and property as they successfully foiled a kidnap attempt and rescued victims unhurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident occurred on 27 April 2025, following a distress call from the Executive Chairman of Wukari Local Government Area regarding an attack on suspected travelers along the Wukari-Kente road. Responding swiftly, the troops launched a prompt rescue operation to the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon arrival at the scene, the troops discovered an abandoned white Toyota Hilux vehicle with a flat tire by the roadside. Shortly after, six individuals emerged from the nearby bush, unharmed, and identified themselves as the occupants of the vehicle. They revealed that they were en route from Yola to Lafia when armed men, suspected to be kidnappers or armed robbers, launched an attack from the rear of their vehicle, forcing them to flee into the bush for safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After securing the area, the troops assisted in fixing the damaged tire and ensured the travelers continued their journey safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Commander 6 Brigade, Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa, commended the troops for their swift response and vigilance, and reassured the public of the Brigade\u2019s unrelenting efforts in maintaining peace and security in Taraba State and its environs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the public are encouraged to continue
