{"id":716,"date":"2024-06-27T09:54:57","date_gmt":"2024-06-27T09:54:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=716"},"modified":"2024-06-27T09:55:52","modified_gmt":"2024-06-27T09:55:52","slug":"general-musa-attends-african-defence-conference-meets-with-us-charles-brown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=716","title":{"rendered":"General Musa Attends African Defence Conference, Meets With US\u2019 Charles Brown"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, on Tuesday attended the African Chiefs of Defence Conference in Botswana.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the occasion that had over 42 defence chiefs in attendance, Musa was the lead panellist on&nbsp;<em>Peacekeeping, Counterterrorism\/violent extremism and crises response operations<\/em>&nbsp;among other panel discussants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Disclosing this in a statement, defence spokesman, Tukur Gusau, said the CDS also had bilateral talks with the United States Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Brown JR, where critical security issues were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Chief of Defence Staff,&nbsp; (CDS ) General Christopher Gwabin Musa today, 25 June, 2024 has attended the African Chiefs of Defence Conference with the theme; \u2018Together on the Rampart: Expanding Cooperation and Sharing Values\u2019 which was Co-hosted by USAFRICOM and Botswana Defence Force,&nbsp; Gaborone, Botswana,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe regular meeting is to allow the Africa Chiefs of Defence Staff to forge a common goal towards arresting insecurity in the continent.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, on Tuesday attended the African Chiefs of Defence Conference in Botswana.
