{"id":5058,"date":"2025-02-06T16:23:12","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T16:23:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=5058"},"modified":"2025-02-06T16:23:16","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T16:23:16","slug":"just-in-obasanjos-ex-adc-jemitola-dies-after-collapsing-at-golf-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=5058","title":{"rendered":"JUST IN: Obasanjo\u2019s Ex-ADC Jemitola Dies After Collapsing At Golf Club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Major General Chris Jemitola (rtd), a former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, has died after slumping at the IBB Golf Club on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Family sources confirmed to THE WHISTLER that Jemitola was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jemitola served as Obasanjo\u2019s ADC from 2003 to 2007 as a colonel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was later appointed as the Director of Defence Information and subsequently served as the Defence Attach\u00e9 at the Nigerian Embassy in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Major General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before his retirement, Jemitola served as the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) of the Nigerian Army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also had a stint in the private sector.
