{"id":4836,"date":"2025-02-02T10:07:46","date_gmt":"2025-02-02T10:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=4836"},"modified":"2025-02-02T10:10:51","modified_gmt":"2025-02-02T10:10:51","slug":"nigerian-army-will-overcome-boko-haram-iswap-bandits-lakurawa-shehu-sani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=4836","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian Army will overcome Boko Haram, ISWAP, bandits, Lakurawa \u2013 Shehu Sani"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani on Saturday expressed hope that the Nigerian Armed Forces will overcome bandits, ISWAP, Boko Haram and Lakurawa terrorist groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sani pointed out that no Army in Africa is as engaged and stretched like that of Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Posting on X, Sani wrote: \u201cThe Nigerian Armed Forces are fighting the ISWAP and Boko Haram in the North East and bandits and Lakurawa terrorist group in the North Western part of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo Army in Africa is engaged and stretched to this level. We appreciate their patriotism and sacrifices to secure our country. We shall overcome.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sani\u2019s remark comes amid warnings from the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa that any Lakurawa terrorist seen by the Nigerian troops is as good as dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Musa was reacting to the court order that designated Lakurawa as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Federal High Court in Abuja proscribed the Lakurawa sect and similar groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Justice James Omotosho, in a ruling on the ex-parte originating summons filed by the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, also declared the group as a terrorist organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Musa said the Nigerian troops now have the legal backing to eliminate members of the Lakurawa sect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani on Saturday expressed hope that the Nigerian Armed Forces will overcome bandits, ISWAP, Boko Haram and Lakurawa terrorist groups.
