He made this statement on Friday, January 17, 2025, while hosting the management team of LEADWAY Assurance Company Limited, led by the Regional Director, Northern Branches, Alhaji Yisau Gbadamosi, at the Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre (HQ ICC), Jaji Military Cantonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maj Gen Ibrahim commended the insurance scheme\u2019s role in enhancing welfare but raised concerns about its limitations, particularly the absence of disability claims and inadequate benefits for retiring and retired officers despite their contributions. He pledged to communicate these issues and the insights shared by LEADWAY Assurance to all Infantry officers, adding that HQ ICC would implement awareness programs across formations and units to ensure maximum participation and benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, Alhaji Gbadamosi congratulated the CIC on his appointment and explained the key features of NAIOWIS: death benefits, disability claims, and savings. He highlighted the scheme\u2019s primary aim of providing immediate support to families of deceased officers within a week, bridging the gap before statutory benefits are processed. Since its revitalization in 2017, the scheme has paid over \u20a6160 million, including \u20a630 million in 2024 alone. He expressed LEADWAY\u2019s commitment to enhancing the scheme\u2019s impact and addressing communication gaps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The visit featured a presentation on the Group Life Scheme, interactive sessions, and a group photograph.
