A quiet night turned into chaos in Mararraba Mazuga village, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as bandits launched a violent attack, abducting 16 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The attack occurred between 11 p.m. and midnight, leaving the community in disarray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a resident, Wayas Musa, two victims managed to escape, while seven others were later released by the kidnappers to go and gather ransom for the remaining hostages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among those released was Na\u2019omi Kayit, who disclosed that her two daughters remain in captivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the daughters is a student at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, while the other studies on scholarship in Togo and was home on break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of now, the kidnappers have not contacted the victims\u2019 families to demand ransom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Command for comment were unsuccessful, as the Public Relations Officer, ASP Munsir Hassan, was unreachable at the time of reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
