The retiring officers included 535 personnel from the Nigerian Army, 86 from the Nigerian Navy, 35 from the Nigerian Air Force, and two from the Defence Intelligence Agency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at the event, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar, commended the retirees for their invaluable contributions to national peace and security. He noted that the training had equipped them with the skills needed to transition into civilian life as resourceful managers, entrepreneurs, and contributors to national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reflecting on the resilience and legacy of the armed forces, Abubakar quoted the popular military saying, \u201cSoja come, soja go, but barracks remain.\u201d He urged the retirees to maintain the discipline, courage, and commitment that defined their military careers, becoming role models and ambassadors of the armed forces in their communities.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs you move into civilian life, I encourage you to embrace this new chapter with confidence,\u201d Abubakar said, adding that their extensive training and experience would support a seamless transition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NAFRC Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Babatunde Mamman, highlighted the centre\u2019s pivotal role in preparing retiring officers for life after military service.
