{"id":3590,"date":"2024-11-29T18:40:24","date_gmt":"2024-11-29T18:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=3590"},"modified":"2024-11-29T18:41:26","modified_gmt":"2024-11-29T18:41:26","slug":"police-nab-suspected-drug-peddlers-in-gombe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=3590","title":{"rendered":"Police nab suspected drug peddlers in Gombe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gombe State Police Command has apprehended three suspected drug peddlers in the Hayin-Kwarin Misau area of Akko Local Government Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspects, identified as Mubarak Usman (21), Abubakar Suleiman (22), and Fahad Salihu (21), were allegedly involved in supplying drugs to hoodlums commonly referred to as \u201ckalare boys\u201d in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, noting that the arrests followed a tip-off from a concerned resident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abdullahi said, \u201cActing on information from a good Samaritan about the activities of a group suspected to be a drug cartel collaborating with thugs known as \u2018kalare boys,\u2019 the police launched a well-coordinated raid on their hideout.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the operation, the police recovered several illicit substances, including Exol tablets, Lara tablets, Valium 5, Tramadol capsules, dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and two pairs of scissors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe suspects have confessed to the crime and will be charged in court soon,\u201d Abdullahi added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He commended the individual who provided the tip-off and urged residents to continue supporting the police in their efforts to eliminate criminal activities in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The police reiterated their commitment to combating drug-related offences and ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Gombe State Police Command has apprehended three suspected drug peddlers in the Hayin-Kwarin Misau area of Akko Local Government Area.
