The Abia State commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Akinsola Aderemi, has said no security agency can succeed alone, hence the need for cooperation among them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aderemi made the remark when he paid the state director of the Department of State Services, Nadia Mohammed-Soso a courtesy visit in her office in Umuahia, the state capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have a duty to ensure protection of critical national assets and infrastructure in the state and to actualize this it is imperative for us to partner other security agencies,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In view of this, he explained that effective intelligence gathering, Information sharing, cooperation, and other areas of mutual understanding would go a long way to enhance their respective performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the visit was part of his familiarization tour of the state after his assumption of office, noting that it would strengthen the command\u2019s synergy with the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a welcome remarks, the director assured the commandant of her readiness to work in synergy with the command to deliver their respective mandates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said: \u201cThe department has a long history of smooth working environment with the corps and this would be sustained under my watch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
