{"id":3438,"date":"2024-11-27T04:18:10","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T04:18:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=3438"},"modified":"2024-11-27T04:25:07","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T04:25:07","slug":"gov-uba-sani-donates-n10-million-to-military-heroes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=3438","title":{"rendered":"Gov Uba Sani Supports Military Heroes With N10 Million"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has given to the military heroes a total sum of N10 million to help alleviate some of their problems, insisting that there is no sacrifice greater than putting one\u2019s life on the line for one\u2019s nation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his remarks at the occasion  of the 2024 Armed Remembrance Day Emblem at Arewa House on Friday, the Governor called on public spirited organizations and individuals to donate generously to the Appeal Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to him, Kaduna State Government \u2018\u2019 is committed to addressing insecurity through comprehensive and dynamic approaches that tackle both immediate and root causes.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019We have forged a strong partnership with federal security forces to secure Kaduna State. Our administration has also created a private sector driven Kaduna State Security Trust Fund to mobilize resources for effective and sustained execution of the war against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019We have equally prioritized social intervention programmes, which aim to reduce poverty and unemployment, providing opportunities that steer youths away from crime and radicalization,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor disclosed that he has \u2018\u2019signed Certificates of Occupancy for two parcels of land for the Nigerian Air Force to establish an air wing and construct post-service housing in Kaduna City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019We also supported the Nigeria Defence Academy Biodiversity Conservation Centre with 10,000 seedlings, showcasing our armed forces\u2019 innovativeness in combating climate change,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Uba Sani who said that the occasion is to honour the bravery and sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces, noted that the \u2018\u2019emblem symbolises the selflessness, loyalty, dedication, resilience, and innovativeness of our Armed Forces.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019This emblem reminds us of the ultimate price paid by our fallen heroes and the welfare needs of surviving veterans. Through our support, we demonstrate that their sacrifice is not in vain. We remember their families and reaffirm our commitment to their welfare,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor was decorated with the emblem of the Nigerian Legion. Senator Uba Sani also decorated senior military, para-military and government officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Secretary to Kaduna State Government, Dr Abdulkadir Muazu
