The agencies said they are closely monitoring developments and conducting proactive operations aimed at neutralising any emerging threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Security operatives have also increased patrols around orientation camps, access roads and adjoining communities, while intelligence gathering activities have been intensified to identify and apprehend individuals or groups planning to disrupt public peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials urged corps members to remain vigilant and comply with all security advisories issued by camp authorities. They were also encouraged to report suspicious movements, unattended objects or unusual activities to security personnel for immediate action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agencies stressed that while the intelligence reports are being treated with the utmost seriousness, there is no cause for panic as comprehensive security arrangements have been activated to ensure the safety and welfare of corps members throughout the orientation exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parents and members of the public were advised to rely only on information released through official channels and to avoid spreading unverified reports capable of creating unnecessary fear or anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Security authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting lives and property and maintaining the integrity of the NYSC scheme, describing the programme as a vital institution for promoting national unity, integration and youth development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They assured Nigerians that all necessary steps would continue to be taken to forestall any threat and ensure that orientation camps across the
