It also reflects the country&#8217;s unwavering support for collective security initiatives aimed at preventing conflict and fostering stability among ECOWAS member states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The operation further demonstrates the Nigerian Air Force\u2019s robust strategic airlift capability and its critical role in supporting both national and multinational military missions. By providing timely and efficient transportation for personnel and equipment, the NAF continues to enhance the operational readiness of Nigerian forces participating in peacekeeping and stabilisation efforts across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deployment of NIGCOY 5 comes at a time when regional cooperation remains essential to addressing emerging security challenges and sustaining peace in fragile environments. Nigeria has consistently contributed troops, logistics and other resources to ECOWAS and international peace support operations, earning recognition as one of Africa\u2019s leading contributors to regional security initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Military observers note that the mission is expected to strengthen ongoing efforts to maintain stability in Guinea-Bissau while supporting democratic institutions and the rule of law.
