The Federal Fire Service (FFS), FCT Command, has assured residents of the Federal Capital Territory of its preparedness and readiness to respond promptly to emergencies during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The FCT Controller of the Service, MS Anas, MTech, MDRDS, NISS, MIRAMN, FICA, gave the assurance while placing all officers and personnel of the Command on red alert to ensure effective emergency response throughout the festive period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Controller directed all Fire Station Commanders within the FCT to ensure that firefighting equipment and operational vehicles are in good working condition and fully ready for deployment to any emergency situation that may arise during the celebration. He also reminded personnel that, as essential service providers, they remain exempt from public holiday observance in order to safeguard lives and property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Controller Anas urged residents of the FCT to remain safety conscious throughout the festive season. He advised members of the public to keep the Federal Fire Service emergency number, 08032003557<\/strong>, readily available and to promptly report any fire outbreak or emergency incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to him, safety consciousness remains the responsibility of every resident, especially during festive periods often associated with increased domestic and commercial activities.
