The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sokoto State Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure across the state.
The State Commandant, CC E.A. Ajayi, made this known on Friday, February 13, 2026, while addressing top management staff, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and other personnel at the Command Headquarters in Sokoto. He charged officers and men to remain resolute, professional and dedicated to the Corps\u2019 mandate, particularly in safeguarding critical infrastructure and maintaining public safety.
Ajayi said the Command has strengthened its operational framework in line with Federal and State Executive Orders aimed at curbing public unrest, human rights abuses and other social vices. He stressed that the Command maintains zero tolerance for criminal conspiracy, civil nuisance and acts capable of disrupting public peace, warning that offenders would be investigated and prosecuted accordingly.
He disclosed that the Command\u2019s operational capacity has been enhanced with the refurbishment of patrol vehicles and the introduction of 24-hour surveillance and routine patrols across Sokoto State. According to him, strategic public and private installations are now under intensified protection to prevent vandalism and sabotage.
The Commandant also highlighted achievements recorded by key units, including the Disaster Management Unit, Agro-Rangers Unit, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and Legal Unit, noting that their activities have improved emergency response, reduced farmers-herders conflicts and strengthened prosecution of criminal cases.
