<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIn a renewed effort to tackle insecurity through grassroots engagement, strategic information gathering, and the enhancement of local security frameworks, the NSCDC, working closely with the Torankawa community, commissioned a newly constructed operational outpost in Torankawa Village, Yabo Local Government Area, on Friday, 28 November 2025 at about 09:00 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The establishment of the outpost forms part of the Corps\u2019 broader strategic mandate to reinforce security presence, boost community safety, and revitalise the security architecture through improved surveillance, intelligence gathering, and swift emergency response in Torankawa and neighbouring communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his address at the commissioning, Commandant Ajayi commended the generosity, unity, and foresight of the Torankawa community. He described the project as a clear demonstration of the people\u2019s commitment to peace, progress, and collective responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSecurity is a shared responsibility that requires a holistic and pragmatic approach. We are deeply grateful to the Torankawa people for their support. The Command will ensure this outpost is fully equipped and staffed to respond promptly to any security concerns,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commandant Ajayi further explained that the new outpost aligns with the strategic vision of the Commandant General, Professor Abubakar Ahmed Audi, mni, OFR, to decentralise security services, strengthen community relationships, and enhance intelligence driven operations across Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A representative of His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Torankawa, applauded the NSCDC for its proactive role in community policing and expressed confidence that the outpost will significantly reduce crime and security threats in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the same vein, the representative of the Chairman of Yabo Local Government Area, Alhaji Usman Na Allah, commended the initiative and pledged the continuous support of the local government for security programmes that promote peace, unity, and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The commissioning ceremony drew traditional rulers, community leaders, and other key stakeholders, all of whom pledged their sustained cooperation in ensuring the success of the outpost and the strengthening of local security efforts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
